Emily has her Marriage Family Therapy Masters degree from Western Seminary as well as a bachelor’s degree in Addiction Studies from Bethany College.
Emily has implemented many tools such as CBT: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and DBT: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She believes therapy is not only designed to be a safe place to bring our pain and be our true selves; therapy is also a learning environment to develop new coping skills to face this world’s battle.
Emily is a Christian and has worked with people from all faiths or religion and does not impose her beliefs in session. Faith is integrated in session if requested.
Emily has a love for nature, the outdoors, flowers and the ocean. She has been married since 2003 and lives with her husband, two sons and her Border Collie (therapy dog in training). She enjoys hiking and camping in her leisure time.
